SAN FRANCISCO – August 13, 2014) Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) today commended the California Legislature and Governor Jerry Brown for passing AB 1471 (Rendon) The Water Quality, Supply, and Infrastructure Improvement Act of 2014, a water bond for the November ballot.

“We’re encouraged by the efforts of the Legislature and Governor Brown to develop a water bond that will support safe drinking water, ecosystem restoration and other high priorities. While it’s not perfect, in this time of drought, we congratulate the parties for crafting a compromise that is a step in the right direction.”
