Description
Elizabeth is responsible for developing and managing EDF’s campaigns to improve regulation of the oil and gas industry in the Midcontinent region of the United States. She identifies opportunities in the policy and political landscape and manages strategic coalitions and relationships with industry, regulators, policy makers, and nongovernmental organizations to reduce methane emissions.
Background
Before joining EDF, Elizabeth served as a staff attorney at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality for over a decade, where she supported the state’s compliance and enforcement activities through multi-media enforcement litigation and program support, focusing on air quality. While in law school at Lewis & Clark Law School, Elizabeth participated in its environmental legal clinic, served as a student board member and director at the Northwest Environmental Defense Center, and interned at the Southern Environmental Law Center.
