Description

Huong Nguyen is an economist and policy manager at the Environmental Defense Fund. She manages and conducts research on greenhouse gas emissions from energy sectors and analyzes market-based solutions aimed at reducing those emissions, such as carbon markets. Huong works closely with other EDF experts from various disciplines to support efforts to advance methane reduction in the European Union and Asia Pacific region.

Background

Prior to joining EDF, Huong worked for the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in her home city, Hanoi, responsible for analytical reports and policy briefs on Vietnam’s economy. She also managed multiple Australian-funded projects in economic and institutional reform in Vietnam.
