Description

Noa spearheads a number of EDF's water initiatives, including co-development of the Groundwater Accounting Platform alongside partners. Following a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and M.S. in Water Resources Engineering, Noa spent several years in industry developing environmental sensors for water quality, soil moisture, agriculture, and weather stations. In an endless pursuit to broaden horizons, she decided to supplement her engineering career with a PhD in the social sciences. She studied public engagement with environmental issues, and her dissertation involved perceptions of natural resource extraction. A first-generation American, Noa likes to take advantage of the diverse landscapes of the US. When not working, she can be found recreating in the mountains, valleys, canyons, deserts, and rivers of the American West.
