Description
Liva Junaedi is a Fisheries Management Specialist for USAID Ber-IKAN. Liva Has more than 8 years of experience in the marine and fisheries sector in Indonesia. He works together with the Environmental Defense Fund team to contribute to the design and implementation of the USAID Ber-IKAN Collaborative Sustainable Management Project, which is inclusive, participatory, and science based. Support in fisheries management plans and harvest strategies in Indonesia fisheries management areas 711 and 715. In addition, it also helps in mapping the estimation of fishing grounds by small-scale fishers and their interaction with ETP (Endangered, Threatened, and Protected) marine species.
Background
Liva has a background in Marine Science and Technology. Prior to joining EDF, Liva was an Analyst at Global Fishing Watch, supporting analysis for fishing vessel activity and small scale fisheries programmes in Indonesia.
Liva holds a bachelor’s degree in Marine Science and Technology from IPB University, Bogor Indonesia.
